ROCKVILLE, Md. (October 27, 2014) – LCG, a leading provider of innovative grants management and technology solutions to federal agencies, today announced that it has been awarded with a new task order under the Chief Information Officer-Solutions and Partners 3 (CIO-SP3) contract to provide information systems and technology services and support to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Strokes (NINDS), an institute within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The contract is valued at $31 million and has a five year period of performance.

Under the terms of the contract, LCG will deliver an experienced and dynamic technical staff to provide full lifecycle project management, network and data center operations, database management, help desk support, and security operations, assessment, and authorization. LCG will leverage its innovative technology expertise to develop applications and web-collaboration tools that will increase productivity and support NINDS staff and researchers in achieving the organization's public health mandate.

"For more than 15 years, NINDS has placed its trust in LCG’s expertise to enhance the institution’s technology capabilities," said LCG chief operating officer Raymond C. Tye. "That work has included implementing sophisticated and top-line secure mobile workstations and devices. Additionally, we have built state-of-the-art internal and external collaboration sites that better enable groundbreaking scientific research. We are excited to continue this long-standing partnership, implementing services that support and secure the IT infrastructure, while also developing new applications that support scientists and their essential research."

NINDS is mandated with supporting and conducting scientific and medical research that seeks fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system, and leverages that knowledge to reduce the impact and burden of neurological diseases. LCG draws upon its deep understanding of research institutions' technology requirements to help increase productivity and collaboration, while maintaining and enhancing the institute's broader IT infrastructure.
